San Diego Stage 1 — This was the first time that the Amgen Tour of California would stage in the main part of San Diego. With Ed Clancy as the leading San Diego event management coordinator, Michael Sick and Paul June’s team at Barrel O’ Monkeyz, we developed a full event marketing and PR strategy to do community outreach events prior to Stage 1, a large day-of event plus key watch parties throughout the county. This was an exciting opportunity to be a part of and the results were phenomenal. Overall we had over 1000 viewing participants at the event and reached well over 500,000 TV and broadcast viewers. Results from eNewsletters, media, PR, Facebook advertising well exceeded our clients expectations and we are looking forward to working on the project again in the future.
